The five rules to know first

Rule 2

The visible theme list is the main goal

Your first job is to clear the required words shown beside the board. That is the clean completion target for every hunt.

Rule 3

Nectar words are curated bonus finds

Not every incidental path counts. Hive Hunt only rewards bonus nectar words that were curated into that specific board.

Rule 4

Duplicate traces do not score twice

Once a theme word or nectar word is found, tracing it again only confirms that you already cleared it.

Rule 5

A new board is always one tap away

Hive Hunt is replayable by design, so you can jump into another handcrafted board as soon as the current one feels done.

How completion works

Theme clear first, nectar second

Hive Hunt is easier to read when the main finish line stays simple. Clear the visible theme list, then keep scanning for nectar words only if you want more out of the same board.

That two-layer structure is what keeps the game from feeling messy. You always know when the core hunt is done, but the board still has a reason to stay alive for one more scan.

What the live board shows

  • The current board title and theme.
  • How many theme words you have found.
  • How many nectar words you have collected.
  • The current traced letter string.
  • Feedback for found, duplicate, and invalid paths.

How to start your first hunt

  1. Open the game page and scan the visible theme list first.
  2. Pick one word shape that looks easy to spot on the honeycomb board.
  3. Touch the first letter and drag in one straight direction until the full word is highlighted.
  4. Release to submit the trace, then watch the chip list update when you land a correct word.
  5. After the theme list is cleared, decide whether you want to keep searching for nectar or start a new board.
